Hi, I'm Amaduddin. I started FixDesk after getting fed up with how most tech help articles are written ten paragraphs of backstory before you get to the actual fix, or written by someone who clearly never touched the device they're writing about.
Everything here comes from problems I've actually had, or watched a friend or family member deal with. The "ticket" format at the top of each guide difficulty, time, tools is there because that's the first thing I want to know before I commit to reading something.
No padding, no "in today's digital world." If a fix takes ten minutes, I say ten minutes. If I'm not sure something works on every device, I say that too. I'd rather a guide be useful than long.
Right now: phones, laptops, and home Wi-Fi, since those are the three things I get asked about most. I'm slowly adding more as I run into new problems worth writing up no fixed schedule, just whenever I've got something tested and worth sharing.
Send it over on the contact page. If a few people ask about the same thing, it jumps to the top of my list.
